Nakhchivan Georgia Tour-3 Day Tour

Leaving Nakhchivan, the breeze of the Caucasus caresses our faces, and the curiosity starts to rise. Once we cross the border, Georgia instantly attracts us with its stone houses and colorful balconies. Changing landscapes along the road light the way and keep curiosity alive.

In Tbilisi, we are walking through cobbled streets where the steam from sulfur baths meets the fresh air along the Kura River. The city’s layered story is opening up in front of us, with each step we take up the slope towards Narikala. And as night starts to fall, bringing the lights on, each photo is turning into a memory.

History and faith are flowing together around us. Under stone arches, the echo of melodies carries the spirit of the city to our ears. When we climb to viewpoints, bridges and domes come together in the same scene.
This discovery continues at the table: the steam of khinkali, the golden crust of khachapuri, the amber tones of local wines-all these come together in a symphony of friendly conversation.
Each word of the tamada-that is, the toastmaster-adds an extra layer of meaning to our journey.

On nature routes, refreshing mountain wind strokes our faces; on the winding roads, every turn reveals either a monastery appearing out of the mist or a waterfall catching a rainbow. When the sky clears, shades of stone and green are quietly settling in our memory.

While returning, small gifts we choose from the bazaars find their place in our suitcase. The sound of different languages, the warmth of the food, and the horizon-opening views now come together to leave us with a concentrated summary of the whole trip.

Tour Program

Day 1-The Heart of Tbilisi & Old Town Rituals

Hotel Pick-Up

At 9:00 AM, we are picking you up from your hotel. After a short introduction and a quick briefing about the day, we are heading to Old Tbilisi. We are walking through the stone streets beside the domes of Abanotubani, getting to know the hot springs that give life to the city, the architecture of the sulfur baths and the colorful wooden balconies that shape the skyline. Along the way, we are stopping near Metekhi for a photo break and helping you see the bridges along the Kura River from different angles. Your guide is pointing out small details that first-time visitors often miss.

Lunch

We are taking a seat at 13:00 PM for lunch. On the table, we have freshly steamed khinkali, golden-crusted khachapuri, walnut-filled badrijani, and herb-rich pkhali-a strong introduction to Georgian cuisine. We will recommend pairings like soda, fruit juice, or wine-whichever you prefer. During the meal, we are setting a relaxed pace and sharing practical tips so that you start the afternoon exploration with fresh energy.

Narika Castle

At 3:00 PM, we are going up to Narikala Fortress by cable car. From the terrace, we are capturing the stone domes, glass bridges and hills in a single frame. Then we are heading down to Rike Park, where we are taking a relaxed walk among its modern sculptures, fountains and green paths, and having a short break to enjoy the view of the Kura River before continuing the tour.

Dinner & Return To Hotel

at 6:30 PM: Clay-pot lobio, sauced meat sautés, fresh bread, and vegetarian options will enrich the table. We will offer a tasting of qvevri-style wine for those who are interested. After dinner, there will be a short night walk to watch the lights of Tbilisi and then a quiet evening atmosphere will complete the day.

At 9:30 PM, we are bringing you back to the hotel. We are sharing recommended clothing suitable for the next day’s route and weather, and we are confirming the morning meeting point.

Day 2-Kakheti Wine Region: Sighnaghi & Bodbe Monastery

Breakfast & Hotel Pickup

At 8:00 AM, we are picking you up from the hotel and heading east towards Sighnaghi on a scenic, panoramic drive. On arrival, we are walking along the stone city walls, discovering the streets lined with balcony houses, small workshops, and viewpoints overlooking the Alazani Valley. Your guide is sharing the stories behind the town’s image as a place of “love and art” in an engaging way.

Lunch - Wine Tasting

At 12:30 PM, we are arriving at a family-run winery. We are listening to the production process of wines aged in qvevri-unique clay vessels-and doing a guided, controlled tasting. On the table, there is mchadi corn bread, fresh sulguni cheese, local pickles, and churchkhela as a sweet treat. We also have homemade compote and natural fruit juices to please guests who prefer non-alcoholic options. During the entire course of tasting, we share simple but useful tips-from how to hold the glass correctly to how to notice different aromas.

Bodbe Monastery

At 2:30 PM, we are driving to Bodbe Monastery and spending a few quiet minutes in the garden. Then we are returning to the center of Sighnaghi and offering two alternatives: visiting a local museum or continuing to explore the streets and shops independently. At 4:30 PM, we are starting the drive back to Tbilisi.

Dinner & Return to Hotel

At 19:00 PM, we are meeting for dinner, where you are savoring modern reinterpretations of Georgian flavors: handmade khinkali varieties, shared plates with rich sauces and a light dessert to gently round off the day. At 21:00 PM, we are taking you back to the hotel. For the mountain route on Day 3, we are recommending a light windproof layer, comfortable walking shoes and a hat.

Day 3-At the Foot of Kazbek: Ananuri, Gudauri, Gergeti & Mtskheta

Hotel Pickup

At 7:30 AM, we are picking you up from the hotel. As we drive along the Georgian Military Highway, your guide is explaining the historical significance of the route and the surrounding natural formations in simple, clear language. At 9:00 AM, we are arriving at Ananuri Fortress, where we are looking closely at the stonework, watching the turquoise tones of the reservoir and getting framing tips that add depth to your photos.

Mountain Experience

At 10:30 AM, we are arriving at the Gudauri viewpoint. The air of this high plateau is leaving a fresh breeze on your face, and after a short break we are reaching Stepantsminda at 12:00 PM. From there, we are switching to 4×4 vehicles and going up to Gergeti Trinity Church, with the silhouette of Mt. Kazbek accompanying us along the way. During the free time at the top, you are feeling the simplicity of the worship site and taking in the wide views of the valley.

Lunch - Wine Tasting

At 13:30 PM, we enter a mountain restaurant for lunch. You are refueling with hot khinkali, lobiani with beans, fresh herb salads, and soup options. To drink, we are suggesting cardamom tea or brewed coffee.

Mtsheka - jvari Monastery

At 15:30 PM, we start our way back. We drive up to Jvari Monastery in Mtskheta at 16:30 PM to watch the meeting point of the two rivers. We take a short walk around Svetitskhoveli at 17:15 PM to get a closer feel for the historic atmosphere.

Dinner

18:30 PM: We sit down for a farewell dinner in Tbilisi. You are enjoying chashushuli, or the vegetarian option badrijani, served with freshly baked puri bread for a light and satisfying finish. Guests who want can try a little chacha tasting to get a glimpse of Georgian toast traditions.

Hotel Drop-Off & Airport Transfer

We bring you back to the hotel at 20:30 PM. For your departure, we are arranging your airport transfer, picking you up from the hotel 4 hours prior to your flight time, so that you reach the terminal comfortably and on time.

Walking in central areas is safe; keep your valuables in closed pockets. Don’t forget to drink water throughout the day; sunscreen and a hat are essential for comfort on the mountain route. In case of emergency, the guide and the vehicle captain are available by a single number.
