Duzdağ Cave 3-Day Salt Therapy

  • 8 Hours Tour
  • Cable Car Ride
  • lunch
    Tasty Lunch Included

At the Duzdağ Cave (Salt Mine) and Physiotherapy Center, you embark on a breath-centered journey. Located at an altitude of 1,173 meters above sea level, 12 km from Nakhchivan, the center maintains a constant microclimate of approximately 18°C all year round. You will be able to safely breathe the natural salt aerosols in this stable and clean atmosphere.

The underground galleries house sleeping rooms and treatment areas about 300 meters underground. You can opt for either a day or night session, offering you the chance to be exposed to the salty air for extended periods. You will get to feel your respiratory tract gradually relax after regularly taking exposures.

This center started in 1979 with 50 beds and got renovated in 2003 with modern equipment and control systems. Today, it functions with a capacity for 474 beds, and till date, around 50,000 people report significant clinical improvement after the program, which varies from 65–70% in adults to 80–85% in children. You too will be benefited with this disciplined protocol in a planned way.

Its efficiency is based on natural ventilation and ionized salt air. The air is renewed continuously at a low speed, creating an ecologically clean environment, suitable for longer stays. Complaints such as asthma, bronchitis, and allergic rhinitis—on the doctor’s approval—can be treated safely and comfortably.

Accommodations are provided within the Duzdağ Hotel, with a sauna, steam room, Turkish bath, indoor pool, and professional massage facilities available all day. In the physiotherapy unit, you will follow a holistic program comprising herbal and essential oil baths, Darıdağ baths, saltwater beds, and mineral mud treatments. All treatments are planned under the supervision of a doctor and nurse.

To retain a clear schedule, a minimum of 10 nights and 11 days is recommended; shorter stays will be planned to suit your needs. Book your sessions and spa appointments in advance to establish a rhythm that works for you. When you return home, you can continue to support your breathing comfort with the natural salt products available through the center.
