Avtovağzal Terminal and Square

Avtovağzal Garage and Square is the heart of the intercity transportation of Nakhchivan and a practical reference point for your city tour. The square is located directly opposite the intercity bus terminal; in maps, the terminal is referred to as “Avtobus vağzalı / Bus Station”. You can easily reach the terminal and the square with a short taxi ride from the city center or from your hotel. The route is generally short from the airport to the center to the terminal, so if you stay in the city center, consider this place both as a starting point and a meeting point.

A small clock tower in the square creates a strong visual focal point. The clock tower and the front of the terminal serve as a clear “meeting point” for both individual passengers and groups. The building opposite, Avtovağzal Terminal, is a junction for lines from Nakhchivan to other cities, particularly Baku.

Avtovağzal Square is a public area; there is no entrance fee. Only the terminal building has places that one must buy a ticket to pass through or areas restricted by security and are regulated according to its operation rules. It houses ticket offices, waiting areas, and information desks. Along the square-terminal axis, cafes and bakeries open during the day offer snacks, and you can take short breaks before or after your flight.
